ANDREW VOLYNSKY

Andrew is a student at Cornell, and likes to consider himself a lifelong student in all disciplines, chess included. He loves not just teaching, but learning from his students, their diverse backgrounds, and different ways of thinking always bringing about new and interesting, perspectives.

Full of sports metaphors to teach chess tactics and opening strategy, he loves being able to explain chess in a way that is able to interest just about anyone.

With close connections to the game of chess, and to the ICA, having attended classes and summer camps at the Teaneck location for the majority of his formative years, Andrew hopes to inspire students to be better players and analytical thinkers for years to come!
